Veronika Gliwa

Hello everyone, my name is Veronika! Calliope was the very first club I joined as a Freshman and I am so glad that I have stayed ever since. I am passionate about art and drawing, so I cannot wait for this year. Something interesting about me is that I collect vinyl records and am interested in all things related to music!

Marisol Dashnaw

Hi everybody! I'm Marisol (or Sol for short!), and I'm ecstatic to be one of Calliope's three lovely Visual Arts Editors this year! I've been involved in Calliope since my freshman year, and I have always felt enamored and amazed by the artistic talent that we have the opportunity to showcase to our student body. We have a wonderful community of artists from many backgrounds who have inspired me and pushed me through the years to pursue different artistic endeavors. Some other activities I'm involved with include the AP Art program and the National Art Honors Society, and I hope to use the skills I've learned in those programs to motivate others and be an example to newer and younger students in Calliope this year! Let's make this a great year!

Sal Monastero

Hello! My name is Sal Monastero, and I’m one of Calliope’s Visual Arts Editors. I joined my sophomore year after learning more about the magazine from friends and I am glad I did. Outside of Calliope, I’m involved in band and the Glenbrook Symphony Orchestra. I am passionate about working together to support artists’ work, and I hope to continue promoting creativity.
