Editors-in-Chief
Editors-In-Chief are the executive leaders of Calliope, comprising their own specific committee. They do not participate in collective submission review and page design; however, they make the executive decisions regarding the selection of submissions, design of pages, and organization of club functions.
​Hello:) My name is Sarah Kim, and I am Calliope's Senior Editor-in-Chief! I joined this club during my freshmen year, and absolutely loved it! There are so many talented photographers, writers, artist, film makers, etc. at Glenbrook South, and I would love to share their work to everyone. I am grateful to be part of this amazing club with so many gifted students. Throughout this year, I hope to become a leader that others can look up to and depend on. I can't wait to see what Calliope creates!
I have been working with creative students as a part of the Glenbrook South CTE and Fine Arts departments for more than 25 years. The ever-changing nature of the arts is one of the most exciting aspects of working in a school like Glenbrook South, where we offer tools and opportunities for students to fully realize their vision. Building vibrant collaborations and engaging processes to produce a beautiful final work are just some of the growth opportunities I’m most interested in sharing with the Calliope members. As a Maker myself, I share with Calliope creatives the thrill of discovering a stunning piece of art, the moment when combining elements in just the right way makes the composition sing or the realization of a talent I didn’t know I had.
​Hey! My name is Sydney Kim, and I am serving as Calliope's Junior Editor-in-Chief. I stumbled upon this club my sophomore year and have been in love with it since. Seeing the production of such a beautiful magazine unfold was such an amazing experience, and I'm looking forward to experiencing it again with everybody! I'm super excited to see what we'll new and old we'll uncover this year (especially after the frenzy that was last year!). I hope to get as many people involved as possible; despite the various publications at GBS, I think Calliope is an adventure nothing could recreate :)
